My name is Ken Regez.  I am a film archivist and preservationist who grew up with a love for history and the performing arts.

After spending 26 years as a radio talk show host I left to do what I really enjoy:  entertaining in front of a live audience.  I have performed in various dinner theatre productions including “All Shook Up” as Jim Haller,  and in “Little Shop of Horrors” as Mr. Mushnik where I got to be eaten by a plant every night, and you can’t get a job like that just anywhere!

I was very privileged to appear in the fall of 2021 in a season three episode of “Joe Pera Talks with You” which is seen weekly on the Adult Swim network and is also seen on Hulu, HBO Max, Sling TV and YouTube TV.  And yes, off camera Joe really is as nice as you think he is.  Working with Joe and his cast and crew was a great experience.

After having to shut down because of the pandemic, I am ready to relaunch my programs of vintage films.  And now that I am semi-retired I can spend much of my time researching, planning and presenting these programs.

Since I first launched Silver Showcase in 2008, I have presented song and film programs for various clubs and organizations including the Sterling North Book and Film Festival, the Society for Learning Unlimited, (an outreach program of Beloit College), The Janesville Senior Center, The Milton Historical Society, The Beloit Historical Society, The Milton College Preservation Society, The Janesville Kienow-Hilt VFW Post 1621 and the MacDowell Music Club of Janesville.

Films from my archive have been featured at various vintage film festivals in the United States and Canada as well as on the PBS television network.

Silver Showcase audience members receive printed programs with extensive historical commentary and photographs about the various films that will be shown.  These are tailored specifically for your event.

To request samples of these programs simply send an email to me at Silver Showcase with your name, the name of your organization, and your street address.

Silver Showcase events are currently limited to the central and southern Wisconsin and northern Illinois area.
